Electrical Engineering Intern (Jun 2026)

Join CDM Smith as an Electrical Engineering Intern working on diverse public, federal, and industrial projects with a leading engineering team.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Develop drawings for electrical systems including power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security using CADD.
• Perform electrical calculations using systems analysis software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
• Assist in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
• Review shop drawings and assist with general construction services.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline.
• Interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $26.75 to $45.12 per hour, varying by geographic location and experience.
• Discretionary bonuses may apply.
