Electrical Engineering Intern to support Grid projects including transmission, substation, distribution, renewable, and battery energy storage system engineering.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Work on a project team in the Grid business unit assisting engineering team members in project execution.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
  • Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and associated data for project reporting.
  • Participate in power designs and prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical power equipment and installation services.
  • Work under the direction of senior engineers.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Expected graduation in Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027, or Spring 2028 with a BSEE or MSEE degree with strong coursework in electrical power.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred but not required: ABET-accredited engineering program degree, leadership experience, minimum 3.0 GPA, prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • No work authorization sponsorship provided for this position.
