Electrical Engineering Intern to support Grid business unit projects involving power system design and upgrades, with award-winning benefits.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Work on a project team in the Grid business unit, assisting engineering team members.
- Contribute to the design, modifications, and upgrades of transmission, substation, distribution, renewable, and battery energy storage system projects.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Support project reporting activities, including tracking and evaluating project progress and data.
- Participate in power designs and prepare specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and installation services.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with:
- Expected graduation in Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027, or Spring 2028 with a BSEE or MSEE degree.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Self-starter attitude, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship (no sponsorship provided).
Valued but not required:
- Enrollment in an ABET-accredited BSEE or MSEE program.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in campus or community.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Strong academic background and coursework in electrical power.

- Hourly wage range: $17.50 - $27.00.
