Electrical Engineer Intern - Grid (Jun 2026)

Electrical Engineering Intern to support Grid business unit projects involving power system design and upgrades, with award-winning benefits.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Work on a project team in the Grid business unit, assisting engineering team members.
• Contribute to the design, modifications, and upgrades of transmission, substation, distribution, renewable, and battery energy storage system projects.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Support project reporting activities, including tracking and evaluating project progress and data.
• Participate in power designs and prepare specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and installation services.

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

• Expected graduation in Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027, or Spring 2028 with a BSEE or MSEE degree.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Self-starter attitude, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship (no sponsorship provided).

Valued but not required:

• Enrollment in an ABET-accredited BSEE or MSEE program.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in campus or community.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior related internship or co-op experience.
• Strong academic background and coursework in electrical power.

• Hourly wage range: $17.50 - $27.00.
