Join ENERCON as an Electrical Engineering Intern to work on impactful energy projects supporting renewable energy, power grid modernization, and safety initiatives.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging in meaningful projects from day one in renewable energy, power grid modernization, nuclear, and environmental safety
- Learning and applying codes and standards for project design
- Collaborating with senior engineers for field data collection and project execution
- Adapting to new software systems and using available resources effectively
- Managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining organization and efficiency
- Connecting classroom knowledge with practical industry work
- Working onsite at client locations, including climbing stairs and ladders, conducting walkdowns, and working outdoors
- Traveling as needed for client and company projects or meetings
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Graduating with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
- Preferred graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027
- Available to start internship in May or June 2026
- Completed courses in Circuit Analysis, Power Systems, and Control Systems
- Solid foundation in core electrical engineering concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and navigate client sites
- Willingness and ability to travel for projects and meetings
- U.S. citizenship required for some federal contract roles
- Must pass pre-employment assessments, drug and alcohol screenings, background checks, and motor vehicle record checks
- No sponsorship available now or in the future

- Hourly pay range of $24-$29, based on role, level, experience, and location
