As an Electrical Engineer at Sargent & Lundy, you will design high voltage substations and transmission systems, with hybrid work flexibility and award-winning benefits.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Work on project teams with other electrical engineers designing new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
- Engage in power transmission designs and prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services.
- Potentially travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
- Work in a hybrid arrangement, spending three days a week in the office and two days remotely.
About You
What you'll need:
- BSEE or MSEE with strong academic background and coursework in electrical power concepts/AC power systems analysis.
- Understanding of practical application of electrical engineering and technology, including systems, principles, techniques, and procedures for project design.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. work authorization required; no sponsorship provided.
Valued but not required:
- BSEE or MSEE from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as Engineer in Training.
- Related engineering internship or co-op work experience.

- Salary range: $60,660.00 - $87,090.00.
