Electrical Engineer 1 (Entry-Level) - Grid (Start ASAP)

As an Electrical Engineer at Sargent & Lundy, you will design high voltage substations and transmission systems, with hybrid work flexibility and award-winning benefits.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Work on project teams with other electrical engineers designing new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
• Engage in power transmission designs and prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services.
• Potentially travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
• Work in a hybrid arrangement, spending three days a week in the office and two days remotely.

About You

What you'll need:

• BSEE or MSEE with strong academic background and coursework in electrical power concepts/AC power systems analysis.
• Understanding of practical application of electrical engineering and technology, including systems, principles, techniques, and procedures for project design.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. work authorization required; no sponsorship provided.

Valued but not required:

• BSEE or MSEE from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as Engineer in Training.
• Related engineering internship or co-op work experience.

• Salary range: $60,660.00 - $87,090.00.
