Join TIAA’s 10-week summer internship to support strategic consulting and cross-functional business initiatives in a dynamic financial services environment.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Lead research and problem-solving activities on internal client engagements within the Corporate Strategy & Development (CS&D) Team.
  • Support engagement management of cross-functional teams, including conducting interviews, forming hypotheses, and designing quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • Synthesize conclusions and insights into recommendations and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate on strategic presentations and research projects, contributing to PowerPoint and Excel deliverables.
  • Coordinate project materials and meetings to ensure seamless information flow across teams.
  • Drive independent research initiatives to gather market intelligence and competitive analysis.
  • Engage with key business divisions including Actuarial Services, Asset Management, Corporate Strategy and Development, Financial Analysis, Human Resources, Marketing, Risk and Compliance, Technology, and Wealth Management.
  • Work primarily within the Strategic Consulting function while supporting Corporate Development and Competitive Intelligence.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently pursuing an MBA degree (1st year student) or a master’s degree with expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Preferred:

  • 3 years of relevant experience required; 5 years preferred.
  • Preferred experience in management consulting, internal strategy/consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or financial services.
  • Proficiency in creating PowerPoint decks, presenting to senior executives, and conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Strong skills in accountability, adaptability, business acumen, collaboration, communication, data analysis, influence, market/industry dynamics, problem solving, and relationship management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal clients and cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate of $72.12 per hour.
  • Base pay range: $50.00/hr - $65.00/hr.
