Join TIAA’s 10-week summer internship to support strategic consulting and cross-functional business initiatives in a leading financial services firm.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Lead research and problem-solving activities on internal client engagements or studies within the Corporate Strategy & Development (CS&D) Team.
- Support engagement management of cross-functional teams, including conducting interviews, forming hypotheses, and designing quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Synthesize conclusions and insights into recommendations and execute strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate on strategic presentations and research projects, contributing to PowerPoint and Excel deliverables.
- Coordinate project materials and meetings to ensure seamless information flow across teams.
- Drive independent research initiatives to gather market intelligence and competitive analysis.
- Engage with key business divisions such as Actuarial Services, Asset Management, Corporate Strategy, Financial Analysis, Human Resources, Marketing, Risk and Compliance, Technology, and Wealth Management.
- Participate in executive speaker series, training modules, mentorship programs, and cohort-based learning experiences.
- Work primarily within the Strategic Consulting function while supporting Corporate Development and Competitive Intelligence.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program, preferably an MBA (1st year student).
- Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preferred:
- 3 years of relevant experience required; 5 years preferred.
- Preferred experience in management consulting, internal strategy/consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or financial services.
- Proficiency in creating PowerPoint decks, presenting to senior executives, and conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Skills in accountability, adaptability, business acumen, collaboration, communication, consultative communication, data analysis, influence, market/industry dynamics, problem solving, and relationship management.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate of $72.12 per hour.
- Base pay range: $50.00/hr - $65.00/hr, varying by experience and other factors.
