Contribute to advanced GNC solutions, working with cross-disciplinary teams to power Blue Origin’s spaceflight success.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Apply standard engineering methods for design, development, and verification of data collection and control systems for flight component testing or ground launch support.
- Develop and release artifacts following facility lifecycle plans and maintain configuration management of operational systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain instrumentation or control systems, including automation of manufacturing or similar processes.
- Develop new and modify existing PLC or HMI applications, interfaces, or embedded controls.
- Participate in set-up and commissioning of new or upgraded facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions, recommending improvements to efficiency or quality.
- Document specifications and operating procedures.
- Work on projects involving guidance, navigation, controls, autonomy, avionics, simulation, system test, aerosciences, and systems engineering based on career path and business unit objectives.
About You
What you'll need:
- Successful completion of a Blue Origin internship in 2025.
- Enrollment or recent graduation from a college or university.
- Ability to start full-time work on or before September 2026.
- Minimum B.S. degree in physics, aerospace engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on rapid development programs.
- Self-driven with minimal direction needed to seek out requirements.
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for Blue Origin’s mission and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee status.
Desired:
- M.S. or PhD in physics, aerospace engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary ranges: CA $85,259.00-$119,361.90; CO $78,153.00-$109,414.20; WA $85,259.00-$119,361.90 (other sites may differ).
