Design, test, and support fluid and mechanical systems in a collaborative, safety-first space exploration setting.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and test fluid systems and mechanically functioning equipment.
- Develop, release, and support engineering artifacts throughout the hardware development cycle.
- Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
- Specify system components or direct product modifications to meet engineering design and performance specifications.
- Investigate equipment failures to diagnose issues and recommend maintenance actions.
- Work on projects involving fluid/mechanical engineering, propulsion systems, materials integration, manufacturing, systems test, operations, and systems engineering.
- Collaborate across Blue Origin business units, functions, and locations.
About You
What you'll need:
- Successful completion of a Blue Origin internship in 2025.
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a college or university.
- Ability to start full-time work on or before September 2026.
- Minimum B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics, or a similar discipline.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
- Self-driven with minimal direction needed to seek out requirements.
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for Blue Origin’s mission and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawful admission as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- M.S. degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary ranges: CA $78,943.00-$110,519.85; CO $72,364.00-$101,309.25; WA $78,943.00-$110,519.85 (other site ranges may differ).
