Join Blue Origin’s team to design and improve avionics flight software for New Glenn, advancing safe, reusable spaceflight technology.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, verifying, and continuously improving New Glenn’s avionics flight software.
  • Developing software development tools and software and hardware verification tools.
  • Supporting the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle designed for human spaceflight.
  • Collaborating as part of a small, expert team focused on safe and repeatable space flight.
  • Contributing to software technology that enables faster, cheaper, and safer rocket launches and landings.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Minimum B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Experience writing low-level software including bare metal systems, kernel development, BSPs, and drivers.
  • Strong skills in C, C++, and Python.
  • Working knowledge of Software Verification and Automation.
  • Desired qualifications include M.S. degree in related fields, experience with real-time embedded safety-critical software, understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP, UART, SPI), and experience developing software interacting with hardware or programmable logic.
  • Passion for Blue Origin’s mission and vision, and commitment to quality and safety in human spaceflight.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range for Colorado applicants: $101,405.00 - $141,966.30
  • Salary range for Washington applicants: $110,623.00 - $154,871.85
