Join ENERCON as a Distribution Engineer to design power systems, collaborate across disciplines, and support America's energy transition.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and designing power systems for power-generating facilities.
- Collaborating across mechanical, electrical, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
- Managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality with minimal oversight.
- Producing high-quality, error-free engineering documents meeting industry codes and client expectations.
- Staying current with industry standards and safety practices, especially in the nuclear sector.
- Delivering innovative, compliant engineering solutions supporting client needs.
- Building strong client relationships through clear communication and professional collaboration.
- Conducting site visits to walk down plant systems and structures and interface with client personnel.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited university.
- 1–3 years of experience; thermal-hydraulic and design modification experience preferred.
- Proficiency in preparing mechanical calculations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for teamwork, design proposals, and documentation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and willingness to participate in prototyping and testing preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in teams.
- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, navigate client sites, and work outdoors.
- Willingness to travel for client and company projects or meetings.
- U.S. citizenship required for roles involving federal contracts.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, background checks, and annual motor vehicle record checks.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000.00 - $99,600.00, based on role, level, experience, and location.
