Data Center Infrastructure Engineer Intern (Jun 2026)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks interns to support full life-cycle data center operations, collaborating across teams to enhance capacity and safety.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
• Interface with internal data center design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety teams to promote standards for consistency and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers.
• Work on concurrent projects, sometimes across multiple geographical regions.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Are 18 years of age or older.
• Can work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12-week internship.
• Are enrolled in an academic program physically located in the United States.
• Have knowledge of Power Systems, Fluid Dynamics, or Thermodynamics.
• Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent discipline, with expected graduation between December 2026 and September 2027.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power or mechanical systems.
• Experience using web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay varies by location, ranging approximately from $86,900 to $185,000 annually depending on site.
