Join Barclays as a Credit Research Analyst Summer Intern in New York, gaining hands-on experience in credit market analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Participate in day-to-day research division activities, providing insights to support senior colleagues’ decisions and new product development.
- Execute research projects including financial, statistical, and industry analysis on companies and sectors.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales & Trading, Investment Banking, and external clients including money managers and pension funds.
- Rotate through two Credit Research coverage areas, contributing to investment theses and reports under senior analyst guidance.
- Analyze macro industry trends, maintain financial models, gather and interpret data, and prepare client-centric marketing materials.
- Engage with Quantitative Portfolio Strategies and Data Science teams to enhance financial analysis skills.
- Write daily, weekly, or monthly notes and reports on economies, markets, and industries.
- Train and mentor junior colleagues.
- Adhere to Barclays’ values and risk management policies while delivering high-quality work.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Undergraduate students in any discipline with a target graduation date within one year after the internship.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above.
- Interest in business and finance with a strong work ethic and eagerness to develop technical skills.
- Authorization to work full-time in the United States without need for visa sponsorship unless eligible under STEM OPT extension.
