Join Cisco as a Consulting Engineer Intern to design and deliver technology solutions across diverse industries while gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with the Cisco Customer Experience (CX) Consulting team to gain experience in real-world customer environments.
  • Design and deliver technology solutions to help Cisco customers achieve their business goals.
  • Specialize in one of five architectural teams: Data Center, Cloud, Security, Collaboration, or Enterprise Networking.
  • Develop consulting skills by working with customers in retail, healthcare, education, and public/private sectors.
  • Craft and implement technical solutions tailored to customer needs at various stages of their journey.
  • Work independently and in an inclusive team environment, managing multiple tasks effectively.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Current enrollment in a certification program (e.g., Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College) or an undergraduate degree program in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Networking, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, network devices and applications, and the OSI model.
  • Proficiency in Python, REST APIs, and Automation.
  • Ability to multi-task, self-start, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to address new challenges and develop new skills.
  • Legal authorization to live and work in the country of application without visa support or sponsorship.
  • Preferred: Awareness of consumer internet applications (e.g., Browser, Voice/Video calls, Social Networks, Streaming) and comfort with data analysis and visualization (graphs, heatmaps).

Training & Development

  • Gain practical experience with groundbreaking technologies through active projects.
  • Develop consulting skills by working with diverse customers and Cisco teams.
  • Encouragement to innovate and contribute ideas within a collaborative environment.
