Construction Manager Intern (Jun 2026)

7-Eleven offers a summer internship providing hands-on experience in store development, construction, and project management within a leading convenience retail company.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Provide hands-on experience in the execution phase of store development
• Deepen understanding of construction, permitting, and vendor coordination
• Foster leadership and problem-solving skills in real-world settings
• Assist field managers with site inspections and contractor coordination
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and punch list reviews
• Document field progress and report on project milestones
• Lead a mini-project

About You

The company is looking for:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business or related field
• Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Training & Development

• Work closely with a coach who provides regular feedback and direction
• Attend a lunch series offering cross-functional organizational insights and exposure to senior leadership
• Experience touring a store and learning about distribution systems
