AECOM seeks a Construction Summer Intern II in Stevens Point, WI, to assist with WisDOT and local transportation construction projects.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing construction inspection and administration of WisDOT and local projects.
- Communicating directly with contractors, team members, and the AECOM project leader.
- Working independently and collaboratively to complete quality projects on time and within budget.
- Performing a variety of assignments to develop professional work knowledge and abilities using standard techniques and procedures.
- Following instructions from senior staff and meeting required schedules while producing quality work.
- Potential travel during the day or overnight for projects in the North Central Region.
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology – Highway Technician with at least two years of study completed, or recent graduates planning to continue with a Master’s degree in a related discipline.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
- Preferred but not required: knowledge of GPS and survey equipment, willingness to learn WisDOT construction practices, familiarity with Civil 3D, municipal, county, and non-WisDOT construction projects, WisDOT Standard Specifications, material certification requirements, and WisDOT material certifications including AGGTECH, PCCTECH, Nuclear Density.
