Support the design, development, and production of vehicle colors, materials, and finishes at Tesla's Design Studio.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Ideate, visualize, and develop design proposals for colors, materials, and finishes
- Create digital and physical CMF presentations showcasing future Tesla designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design and manufacturing to implement final CMF designs and assets
- Develop and master color, materials, and finishes for all vehicle exterior and interior surfaces
- Support CMF Design release process and documentation
- Manage ongoing projects and program support
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, including research and sample management for the CMF materials library
- Support visual material evaluation and color measurement activities
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Color and Material Design, Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Textile Design, or related field
- Strong background or interest in Automotive Color, Material and Finish Design
- Exceptional visual, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn concepts quickly
- Ability to deliver results on difficult projects with tight deadlines
- 3D software knowledge and rendering skills preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience through previous internships or projects preferred
