Support the design, development, and production of vehicle colors, materials, and finishes at Tesla's Design Studio.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Ideate, visualize, and develop design proposals for colors, materials, and finishes
  • Create digital and physical CMF presentations showcasing future Tesla designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design and manufacturing to implement final CMF designs and assets
  • Develop and master color, materials, and finishes for all vehicle exterior and interior surfaces
  • Support CMF Design release process and documentation
  • Manage ongoing projects and program support
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, including research and sample management for the CMF materials library
  • Support visual material evaluation and color measurement activities

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Color and Material Design, Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Textile Design, or related field
  • Strong background or interest in Automotive Color, Material and Finish Design
  • Exceptional visual, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn concepts quickly
  • Ability to deliver results on difficult projects with tight deadlines
  • 3D software knowledge and rendering skills preferred but not required
  • Hands-on experience through previous internships or projects preferred

  • Hourly pay range: $20.00 - $50.00 plus benefits
