Clinical Informatics Intern - Fall (Sep 2026)

Support Medpace’s Clinical Informatics team by developing data analytics and visualization solutions for clinical and medical operations, collaborating with analysts and software engineers.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Participate in analysts’ evaluation of data needs for assigned projects
• Work alongside analysts to contribute innovative data products
• Interact with relational data at both study- and enterprise-level for query, wrangling, analysis, and reporting
• Contribute to algorithm development for descriptive, classification, and predictive operational purposes
• Support departmental process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with the software engineering team to bring solutions to production

About You

The company is looking for:

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in informatics, computer science/engineering, biomedical engineering, health information, statistics, or a related field
• Ability to work effectively on a sprint schedule
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Programming experience in R or Python
• Preferred: clinical research experience
• Preferred: experience building web applications with Shiny or Streamlit
• Preferred: experience building dashboards with PowerBI, Tableau, or Spotfire
