Join ENERCON as a Civil/Structural Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience designing energy infrastructure and supporting power-generating facilities.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Work on real-world projects supporting power-generating facilities and critical energy infrastructure
- Evaluate structural systems and prepare engineering documents
- Conduct plant site walkdowns and collaborate with senior engineers for field data collection
- Learn and apply codes and standards for project design
- Manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to new software systems
- Engage positively with learning, feedback, and teamwork
About You
The company is looking for:
- Students graduating with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Preferred graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027
- Availability to start internship in May or June 2026
- Preferred coursework in Steel, Concrete, and Structural Analysis
- Solid foundation in core engineering concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, navigate client sites, and work outdoors
- Willingness to travel for client and company projects or meetings
- U.S. citizenship required for some federal contract roles

- Hourly pay range of $24-$29, based on role, experience, and location
