Internship opportunity at ABB to support operations and gain practical experience in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering in Bartlesville, OK.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with various teams to support ABB’s operations, ensuring effective coordination and timely project completion within defined timelines.
- Leveraging insights about customer needs and ABB’s offerings to identify suitable solutions for clients, leading to project results that meet customer expectations.
- Participating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
- Seeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve performance and skills.
- Following specific instructions of supervisor or senior Chemist to perform less complex professional assignments applying standard engineering principles and practices.
- Using computers and selected programs for preparing reports and conducting analyses.
- Setting up Gas Chromatograph applications and verifying separations when testing GC columns.
- Following all chemical lab safety procedures.
- Making simple blends for GC testing.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Capability to manage several tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
- Collaboration skills to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate between $20 - $34, based on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
- Internships are not eligible for company-sponsored medical benefits, 401(k) contributions, or paid time off.
Training & Development
