Join Texas Instruments as a Packaging Engineer in the Career Accelerator Program, working on innovative semiconductor packaging technologies in a dynamic environment.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and analyze semiconductor packaging technologies such as Wirebond, Flip Chip, Modules, SIPs, and other advanced packages.
- Collaborate across various work areas and organizations to support product qualification, production, reliability, yield, testability, and test coverage.
- Lead design-of-experiments and work with material suppliers to select innovative packaging materials to enhance reliability and performance.
- Conduct electrical, mechanical, and thermal modeling to understand silicon-to-package interaction, establish design rules, and prevent high-risk designs.
- Participate in cross-functional teams within the TMG Development program, a 12-month program for new college graduates.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (preferred 3.5/4.0 or higher).
- Expertise in mechanical stress analysis and management.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical stress modeling using software such as ANSYS.
- Experience or knowledge in mechanical characterization of materials (metals/alloys, polymers, ceramics).
- Preferred knowledge of semiconductor back-end-of-line processing and packaging (manufacturing, assembly, reliability, materials, characterization, FA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and collaborate across functions.
- Strong time management skills for on-time project delivery.
- Ability to build strong, influential relationships and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Initiative and drive for results.
