Bridge Engineer Intern (Start ASAP)

Join Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP as a Bridge Engineer Intern to assist in designing and analyzing transportation bridges in a collaborative team environment.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist engineers with the design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges and structures.
• Support project teams with preparing plans, reports, and calculations.
• Perform fieldwork including bridge inspections and data collection, as needed.
• Conduct research and apply engineering principles to solve real-world design challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a professional engineering environment.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong interest in bridge and transportation engineering.
• Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to engineering software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, or structural analysis programs) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; no visa sponsorship is available.
