Join Whitman, Requardt & Associates as an Entry-Level Transportation Bridge Engineer to design and analyze bridge and transportation structures with expert mentorship.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and plan sets.
  • Support senior engineers in developing construction documents and specifications.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including bridge inspections, data collection, and site visits as needed.
  • Apply structural engineering principles and software tools to solve complex design challenges.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WRA to deliver high-quality projects.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; master’s degree preferred.
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Desire for relevant internship experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a design group setting.
  • EIT/FE certification preferred.
  • NBIS inspection experience is a plus.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States full-time without visa sponsorship.
