Join Interactive Brokers as a Financial Services Representative to resolve client issues and support global electronic brokerage platforms in a hybrid work environment.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Resolving routine and complex client service issues with sound judgment and courtesy.
- Managing cash deposits, withdrawals, position transfers, and account administrative functions.
- Providing information on product availability, exchange, clearing, depository functions, order types, routing logic, and order status.
- Addressing trade and delivery settlement, exercise & assignment, expiration processing, and corporate actions.
- Explaining margin calculations, commission structure, interest, and fees.
- Coordinating with local and international Client Service divisions and external departments such as Programming, Clearing, Cashiering, and Compliance.
- Using computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting client issues.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree.
- Fluency in Portuguese (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Experience in financial services (brokerage, banking, trading, exchange, or clearinghouse) preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for telephone, email, and online chat client inquiries.
- In-depth understanding of stocks, securities, options, futures, options on futures, foreign exchange, and fixed income.
- Working knowledge of exchange operations, regulations, product offerings, execution platforms, rules, and margin methodologies.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
