Banking Analyst (Capital Markets) Summer Internship Program - New York City (Jun 2027)

Participate in live investment banking deals, client pitches, and collaborate across teams at a leading global bank.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Collaborate on live deals, client pitches, and advise on a broad range of corporate clients.
• Deliver holistic, structured solutions to meet client goals.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and manage deployment and launch of new investment banking products and services.
• Manage client relationships and provide customer service support with decreasing supervision.
• Develop and implement financial models and strategies to support decision making.
• Train and mentor junior colleagues.
• Lead and supervise teams where applicable, guiding professional development and coordinating resources.
• Advise and influence decision making within area of expertise, managing risk and strengthening controls.
• Act as contact point for stakeholders inside and outside the organization.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Undergraduate students with a target graduation date within one year of internship conclusion.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• Keen interest in business and finance with curiosity to learn.
• Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated through extracurricular activities.
• Ability to perform prescribed activities timely and to a high standard, with in-depth technical knowledge in assigned area.
• Strong understanding of principles and concepts within area of expertise.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $110,000 for the summer internship.
• Work location at Barclays Americas Headquarters featuring cafeteria, fitness center, and state-of-the-art LED signage.

Training & Development

• Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Mentorship and guidance from line managers and mentors throughout the internship.
• Exposure to multiple specialist areas including equity and debt origination, loans, structuring, risk management, and syndication.
