Automotive Photographer, Design Studio Internship (May 2026)

Join Tesla as an Automotive Photographer and Digital Retoucher intern to create and retouch world-class imagery of Tesla vehicles and products.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Photograph and retouch digital imagery of Tesla vehicles and various Tesla products including Solar Roof, Solar Panels, Merchandise, Vehicle Accessories, and Lifestyle items
• Collaborate with factory teams, engineer testing teams, and other departments to execute photography projects
• Operate both independently and within the content team
• Identify and solve problems within digital imagery using available tools
• Work with sales, engineers, digital modelers, architects, and other professionals as needed
• Participate in cross-functional strategy, timing, and process discussions related to brand and visual design principles
• Engage with key stakeholders across disciplines
• Occasionally contribute to design efforts outside your expertise based on necessity and skillset

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant area
• Proficient in photo hardware and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, VirtualRig, CaptureOne, CameraRAW, Lightroom
• Excellent at creating and maintaining cross-functional working relationships with strong visual and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver successful content under tight deadlines
• Expertise in automotive photography (interior and exterior), including lighting, camera hardware, studio, and on-site experience
• Strong digital retouching skills specifically for automotive imagery
• Submission of a portfolio or personal website is mandatory for consideration
