Join ABB as an intern in Houston, TX, supporting control systems projects with hands-on engineering tasks in a leading global company.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Work with an engineering team to assist with various aspects of control systems projects for customers.
  • Perform hardware design and testing.
  • Program logic to control industrial processes and create Human-Machine interfaces.
  • Use computer programs to perform various engineering operations.
  • Conduct analyses and provide related data and information.
  • Troubleshoot and research solutions during project work.
  • Attend training sessions both in person and on the job.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in electrical, computer, mechanical, chemical engineering, or related field in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the Houston, TX worksite.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Collaborative skills to convey ideas, share information, and provide project updates.
  • Residency within a 50-mile radius of the office location; no relocation assistance or stipend provided.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay between $20 - $34, based on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
  • No company-sponsored medical benefits, 401(k) contributions, or paid time off for internships within the United States.

Training & Development

Opportunities to gain practical experience through various projects and attend training sessions both in person and on the job to enhance skills and knowledge.
