Audit Winter Intern - Charlotte (Jan 2027)

Internship opportunity at Forvis Mazars offering hands-on audit experience in Charlotte, NC, with exposure to various industries and client engagements.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Completing audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets
• Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report
• Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers

• Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently

• Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
• Intern candidates must be working toward an accounting degree and CPA licensure eligibility
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available

Training & Development

Interns will work alongside senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience to develop their skillset.

Career Progression

Interns gain experience similar to entry-level associates, helping to decide on career paths in audit, tax, or public accounting.
