Audit Summer Intern - Chicago (Jun 2027)

Internship opportunity in Chicago offering hands-on audit experience with Forvis Mazars, working alongside senior staff on client engagements.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Completing audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets
• Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report
• Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers

• Intern candidates must be working toward an accounting degree and CPA licensure eligibility
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly wage of $35 for Illinois market
• Eligibility for time and a half pay for hours worked over 40 per workweek (non-exempt/hourly positions)

Training & Development

Gain valuable experience working on client engagements similar to entry-level associates, with exposure to various industries and mentorship from senior staff and management personnel.
