Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Completing audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets
- Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report
- Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers
About You
The company is looking for:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
- Pursuing education requirements to be a licensed CPA in the state of the office location
- Completion of 150 credit hours prior to the start date
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the office state
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person
- Effective time management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team
- Problem-solving attitude and willingness to take initiative
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Preferred: Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing audit work
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available
