Audit & Assurance Intern – Technology Controls Advisory (Japanese Services Group) (Jun 2026)

Join Deloitte as an Audit & Assurance Intern to support clients in technology controls, compliance, and risk management within a collaborative team environment.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist clients in improving the quality of information disclosed to markets and investors to meet regulatory and attestation requirements
• Evaluate accounting systems and controls to identify improvements and enhance IT controls and technology risk management programs
• Perform internal audit assurance activities including financial, operational, compliance, IT, SOX, and QAR audits
• Consult with engagement leadership and clients on strategic plans and emerging risks
• Create and manage SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 reports ensuring compliance with required principles and standards
• Oversee implementation of new systems aligning with industry standards, client objectives, and regulatory requirements
• Perform internal control assessments and provide proactive risk mitigation strategies
• Develop recommendations to enhance business processes and systems based on audit findings
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with Deloitte team members and client stakeholders

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

• Strong academic record with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (3.2 preferred)
• Fluent in English and Japanese
• Ability to commute daily to the assigned office and travel up to 50% based on work and client needs
• Proficiency in Windows-based systems and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and solve problems critically
• Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old at time of employment
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Meeting minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure prior to full-time employment is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly wage range: $28.24 to $56.67, dependent on skills, experience, certifications, and organizational needs
