What you'll do
Working in our Data Team, you will support the development, maintenance and optimisation of our data solutions. You will work on data transformations, report preparation and ad hoc data research.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cleaning, and transforming data for analytics and reporting
- Assisting in maintaining data models, schemas, and tables in Snowflake
- Writing SQL queries to extract and analyse data
- Supporting the development of dashboards, reports, and insights for stakeholders
- Monitoring data quality, validating pipeline outputs, and ensuring data accuracy
- Documenting data processes, definitions, and best practices
This is a varied role, which may involve:
- Supporting ETL/ELT workflows and routine data checks
- Conducting ad hoc analyses and deep dives on business questions
- Helping troubleshoot data inconsistencies and performance issues
- Assisting teams with data-related needs and research
- Other data and analytical projects as required
To apply for this role candidates will need:
Essential:
- Proactive approach with a can-do attitude and the ability to be a self-starter
- Good SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
- Willingness to learn modern data tools, especially Snowflake
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks/projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Desirable:
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Superset, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Metabase)
- Exposure to cloud data warehousing or ETL/ELT workflows
- Basic familiarity with Python or R for data analysis
- Experience with GSuite (Google Sheets, Google Docs etc)
Other Information:
- Permanent, full-time role
- Flexible work hours (with the requirement that at least 5 hours per day overlap with Sydney business hours)
- Remote
- 6 months probationary period
- Competitive salary dependent on experience

Cons
There can be some late nights during peak seasons from increased workloads.
Very occasionally, the sheer pace of Prosple's progress and growth can be fatiguing. Which is actually a positive if you're in the right mindset and have the right skills and attitude to embrace it.
Due to the nature of work (100% remote), it is difficult to get to know everyone
Work life balance can be challenging when everyone is such a high performer and expectations are high
Sometimes I had a hard time on looking for resources to use to do my job.
