Associate Audit Summer (Jun 2027)

Join Forvis Mazars as an Associate in Audit, applying critical thinking and building client relationships in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets
• Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report
• Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers

About You

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
• Pursuing education requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of the office location
• Completion of 150 credit hours prior to the start date
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the office state
• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person
• Effective time management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team
• Problem-solving attitude and willingness to take initiative
• Close attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Preferred: Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing audit work
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available

Training & Development

Associates receive coaching from experienced staff and management personnel to develop technical skills and career foundations.

Career Progression

As skills grow, associates assume greater responsibility and actively participate in determining their career path within audit or tax.
