L3Harris is seeking an Assoc, Quality Engineer to develop and implement quality standards ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and implement standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product precision and accuracy.
  • Analyze nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Investigate causes of discrepancies, develop dispositions, and recommend corrective action plans.
  • Lead Material Review Board and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.
  • Manage program quality cost accounts and supplier corrective actions.
  • Conduct process audits and ensure compliance with manufacturing planning and program requirements.
  • Execute First Article Inspection per AS9102 requirements and support hardware acceptance documentation.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Documentation Control Center (QDCC) command media and monitor manufacturing schedules.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions to ensure continual improvement and root cause analysis.
  • Provide practical solutions to technical problems using quality engineering disciplines and tools.
  • Obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Applicants pursuing or recently completed (within 12 months) a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Strong knowledge of quality system requirements and documented procedures.
  • Experience or familiarity with PFMEA, process audits, First Article Inspection (AS9102), and Material Review Board activities.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve quality issues and lead corrective actions.
