7-Eleven offers a summer internship focused on design project coordination, providing hands-on experience and cross-functional collaboration in convenience store development.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Introducing interns to tools, processes, and methodologies used in design project coordination for convenience store development
  • Building foundational skills in design including floor planning, architectural, and civil design
  • Providing exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Real Estate, Entitlements, and Construction teams
  • Assisting in maintaining design quality by supporting design deliverable owner review
  • Supporting prototype design development through change request development
  • Analyzing historical design data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization
  • Participating in design review meetings and contributing to variance analysis and reporting
  • Completing a capstone assignment

About You

The company is looking for candidates who have:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business or related field
  • Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Training & Development

  • Work closely with a coach who provides regular project guidance and feedback
  • Attend a lunch series offering cross-functional organizational insights and exposure to senior leadership
  • Experience touring a store and learning about distribution systems
