Join Amazon’s Applied Science team to develop cutting-edge AI and robotics algorithms, collaborating with world-renowned experts in a fast-paced environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop novel, scalable algorithms and modeling techniques advancing LLMs and generative AI for robotics
  • Tackle challenging research problems on production-scale data focused on robotic perception, manipulation, and control
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams leveraging expertise in deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, and motion planning
  • Work independently, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

About You

The company is looking for candidates who have:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree or above
  • Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and/or robotics
  • Publication record at science conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR, ICRA, RSS, CoRL, or ICLR
  • Experience in multimodal LLMs, world models, image/video tokenization, real2Sim/Sim2real transfer, bimanual manipulation, open-vocabulary panoptic scene understanding, scaling multi-modal LLMs, and end-to-end vision-language-action models
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch or JAX
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Eligibility and availability for full-time (40 hours/week) internship for the entire duration
  • Willingness to relocate to the internship location (San Francisco, CA)
  • Preferred: Experience designing experiments and statistical analysis of results

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay ranges from $62.21/hr to $102.31/hr depending on geographic market
  • Potential equity, sign-on payments, and other compensation as part of total package
