Join Amazon Science as an Applied Science Intern to design and develop end-to-end systems tackling complex AI challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Own the design and development of end-to-end systems.
- Create technical roadmaps and drive production-level projects supporting Amazon Science.
- Work closely with Amazon scientists and other science interns to develop solutions and deploy them into production.
- Leverage scientific techniques and implement systems to work on massive datasets addressing unsolved problems.
- Collaborate with diverse groups and cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Master’s degree student enrolled in a relevant program.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week and commit to a 12-week internship.
- Willingness to relocate to the internship location; relocation and housing assistance provided if located 50 miles or further from the office.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, C, or C++.
- Preferred: Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay ranges from $129,400/year to $212,800/year depending on geographic market.
- Compensation varies based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
