Join ABB Robotics as a software development intern contributing to innovative robotics projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in San Jose, CA.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop high-performance, reliable, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Participate in all aspects of software development activities, including design, coding, code review, testing, bug fixing, and code/API documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and participate in daily or weekly stand-ups and meetings.
  • Support team growth by providing thoughtful feedback and uplifting colleagues.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced development team with clear, positive, and constructive communication.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a master's or bachelor's degree program in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or a related field in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Effective collaboration skills to convey ideas, share information, and provide project updates.
  • Residency within a 50-mile radius of San Jose, CA, with no relocation assistance provided.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate between $20 - $34, based on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
