AI Software QA II Intern role at Cisco involves testing AI-driven systems and developing automation frameworks in a hybrid San Jose location.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and automation scripts for AI-driven features and systems.
- Build, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks for AI pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces.
- Identify, document, and report software bugs and quality issues, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product specialists.
- Participate in projects to improve customer perception of quality and support continuous improvement.
- Learn and apply industry-standard QA tools, testing methodologies, and protocols with mentorship and hands-on training.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with 2 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree program with 0 years of experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python programming; additional languages are an advantage.
- Familiarity with modern testing tools and frameworks such as Pytest, Playwright, Selenium, Locust, or similar.
- Strong diagnostic and debugging skills, including experience with automation pipelines and test utilities.
- Preferred: practical experience with backend and frontend testing frameworks, collaboration skills, excellent communication, and prior experience or coursework related to generative AI or AI/ML platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range for U.S. locations: $44,000.00 - $185,000.00 depending on location and role specifics.
