Join Cisco’s engineering team to develop and deploy advanced AI/ML solutions using state-of-the-art large language models.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Develop and implement generative AI applications using large language models such as GPT-4, Claude, and Llama.
- Optimize neural networks for natural language processing and machine perception using convolutional and transformer-based models, student-teacher frameworks, distillation, and GANs.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of models through training, fine-tuning, and real-world deployment.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to gather and prepare data, design custom layers, and automate model deployment.
- Experiment with new technologies and produce production-ready code with robust testing and problem-solving.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with 2 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree program with 0 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Backend development skills in Go or Python demonstrated through assessments or code samples.
- Understanding of LLM infrastructure and optimization strategies demonstrated in technical interviews or documentation.
- Practical experience with model building and AI or LLM tasks evidenced by portfolio, code samples, or academic/research projects.
- Preferred: Experience with inference engines (vLLM, Triton, TorchServe), knowledge of GPU architecture, optimization, distributed systems, asynchronous programming, agent frameworks, cloud-native platforms, cybersecurity principles, and Python AI libraries.
- Exposure to scalable computing environments and best practices for secure, efficient AI deployment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range for U.S. locations: $44,000.00 - $185,000.00 depending on location and role specifics.
