Join Blue Origin as an Aerospace Systems Engineer to design, implement, and integrate spaceflight systems supporting safe, reusable, and low-cost space vehicles.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and engineer overall systems infrastructure including hardware, software, and configurations.
  • Implement, install, maintain, and administer engineering systems and technical support.
  • Collaborate to establish and improve processes and procedures.
  • Work on applied systems engineering tasks such as system definition, test, integration, safety, operations, and verification of fluid, mechanical, propulsion, and electrical systems.
  • Decompose customer requirements into test system requirements with traceability.
  • Develop and manage interfaces through requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and drawings.
  • Lead and present at major gated reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) on system readiness and engineering deliverables.
  • Own verification and validation planning, traceability, and completion through test plan creation and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

  • Minimum B.S. degree in engineering or a technical field, earned within the last year, able to start by Fall 2026.
  • Experience in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering on complex systems.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into traceable tasks and communicate project status concisely.
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or hands-on experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and support a culture of inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on rapid development programs.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and self-driven with minimal direction.

Desired qualifications include:

  • M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Experience with requirements development/management tools such as Jama.
  • Experience with systems engineering modeling tools like Rhapsody or Cameo.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and Flight Dynamics.
  • Previous customer-facing roles with experience presenting to and interacting with customers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range for CO: $74,537.00 - $104,351.10
  • Salary range for WA: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85
